This film follows the path of the Austin Music and Arts Community over a period of 11 years and how artists, musicians, filmmakers and fans succeeded in creating an audience for original homespun television music network (The Austin Music Network) but was shackled when given the dubious task of turning a politically charged Public Access Channel (said to be the FIRST Public Access Channel in America) into a "for profit" entity featuring Music and Arts on a 24/7 basis. Held together by shoe strings, Shiner Beer and cigarettes, the passionate community of radio, television and film devotees fight the power of a corporate media giant who wants to take over the channel.
